Workshop Offerings
I facilitate creative writing, storytelling and drama workshops for schools, universities, creatives and communities that center on storytelling, creative expression, and embodied practice, offering spaces for both reflection and collective creation.
My workshops draw from the storytelling technique of Call & Response, a practice rooted in South African traditions, as well as poetic and theatrical methods to engage participants in meaningful dialogue with themselves, each other, and the world around them.
Call & Response Workshops
Exploring the dynamic relationship between speaker and listener, these workshops examine how we co-create meaning through exchange. Call & Response is both a method and a philosophy—an active dialogue that acknowledges multiple voices, histories, and ways of knowing.
Grounded in South African indigenous knowledge systems, I use concepts from my mother tongue to frame and inspire the work.
Workshops are adaptable for artists, facilitators, and communities, engaging participants in:
• Story-conversation: Moving between individual expression and collective meaning-making
• Respons(ability): Practicing deep listening, intuitive response, and collaborative world-building
• Embodied storytelling: Working with voice, movement, and presence to deepen connection to story and space.
Workshops for Children & Young People
Designed to spark imagination and confidence, these workshops invite young participants to explore storytelling, poetry, and performance in an interactive and playful way. Sessions are adaptable for schools, youth programs, and community settings, offering:
Each workshop is designed to be flexible and adaptable, with offerings available for commissions, partnerships, or one-off sessions.
• Storytelling & Play: Using games, improvisation, and movement to build confidence in creative expression
• Poetry & Spoken Word: Exploring rhythm, language, and personal voice through writing and performance
• Collaborative Creativity: Encouraging young people to co-create, listen, and respond to one another’s ideas
